The Georgia Resilience and Opportunity Fund builds bold, evidence-based and community-driven solutions to address poverty and to narrow the racial wealth gap.

Georgia Dusk is an intergenerational counter-narrative to the mainstream depiction of Georgia politics and the southern liberation movement. As experts of our own stories, we document grassroots movements led by Black queer and feminist people and reclaim the historical representation of liberation movements throughout Georgia.

 

The Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies offers an innovative and integrated approach to research and study of today’s dynamic news, marketing, public relations, and social media in traditional and digital environments.

 

The Denton Black Film Festival was created in order to address under-representation in film and media by giving Black stories an audience and Black creatives a platform. Storytelling is the core of any culture. And at the Denton Black Film Festival, we share stories of the Black community – its traditions, ideas and experiences – in a multitude of ways.

 

The UNT Oral History Program is a longstanding research initiative of the University of North Texas. The Program records, transcribes, and archives oral history interviews covering a wide variety of subject matter in order to preserve local, state, and U.S. history.
